Welcome to the everyfilm quest's ninth year.
Yes, since 2011, Mrs W and I have been schlepping around the country in search of the obscure so I can post reviews on this blog.
She is a saint.
This year is slightly different in that, for the first time, I am taking a very specific guide to my movie watching.
Every week the British Film Institute issues a list of movies which are being released. It is the nearest thing to completion I know so I am going to stick to it and occasionally chuck others in if I become aware of them.
Already, this is making life a lot simpler and means I am missing fewer. But it is only January.
This is usually one of my favourite months for movies, very often throwing up the best picture of my year.
I have to say, I have been a little disappointed so far.
However, there have been some good ones and here are the best of what I have seen, in my opinion...
1. Stan & Ollie - 9/10
2. Love Sonia - 9/10
3. The Favourite - 9/10
4. Bergman - A Year In the Life - 9/10
5. The 12th Man - 8.5/10
6. Life Itself - 8.5/10
7. The Upside - 8.5/10
8. The Front Runner - 8/10
9. Collette - 8/10
10. The Raft - 8/10
11. RBG - 8/10
12. Nina - 8/10
13. Fyre - 8/10
